Dido and Pa
Topic #1: The main character in this story is Dido, a small child. She is important in the story, because the plot of the story is to find Didos mysterious father named Pa. This character is very grim and shy at times, for example in the book it states, “Poor little dear, may this be the last day on Earth!” This quote was significant at this point in the book, because another main antagonist are the wolves that are surrounding the forest of which Dido and her friend Simon must travel. I may also mention that this is a British child, almost at some points sounding like a mouse because of his dim voice. Towards the middle of the book, Dido begins to be more confident in himself and takes bigger risks, such as at one point getting up close with a wolf. As you can see, Dido at first was scared to even scream, but in the middle of the book it states, “Simon” she called softly. “Is that you?” This was an improvement of confidence for Dido and it showed her personality, the most out of anyone in the book.
