The conflict in this story, begins as soon as the main characters join the beast on the island. According to the text it states, “The beast told Alex, head to the east, and you shall find the sisters of fate.” This means that the peak of the story starts here. This is because in order for him to reach the sisters of fate, he must go through many dangerous obstacles. In the beginning of the story, Alex thinks this quest as an impossible thing to do. However as the story progresses, he gains confidence to eventually become into a “beast” himself. Even the text says, “He gained confidence every day ever do slightly to become the biggest threat the island has.”

An icon that this story related to, is changes over time. This is due to the fact that during the events of the story, Alex changes his character in his personal stance of life at this City of Beasts. In the beginning of the story, Alex is a very timid and non social young boy. According to the text, he says the following, “What if the island has monsters that can eat us and we no longer live, and life is way too precious to lose.” This quote shows the way that little Alex thinks about the world and how much he cares about his own and other people's life. However, later in the story, his mindset changes, by not even caring about dying anymore and being this ruthless beast. The text better says this as, “With his spear gripped in his hand, he stalked the eagle and threw it killing the big beast.” Topic Choice 1: In the story of City of The Beasts, some main characters are introduced in the very beginning of the story. First of all the main character in this story, is Andrea and she is a young girl that her mother is in a state of death. In the text it says, “Momma’s going to die” Andrea said. This quote says that she is a very shy and timid girl because of the way that she says the sentence. Another quote taken from the text says, “When’s Momma going to get better” says Andrea. She will build up to become a great climax for the story as I see her going into this island and taming animals.
