The conflict in this story, begins as soon as the main characters join the beast on the island. According to the text it states, “The beast told Alex, head to the east, and you shall find the sisters of fate.” This means that the peak of the story starts here. This is because in order for him to reach the sisters of fate, he must go through many dangerous obstacles. In the beginning of the story, Alex thinks this quest as an impossible thing to do. However as the story progresses, he gains confidence to eventually become into a “beast” himself. Even the text says, “He gained confidence every day ever do slightly to become the biggest threat the island has.”

An icon that this story related to, is changes over time. This is due to the fact that during the events of the story, Alex changes his character in his personal stance of life at this City of Beasts. In the beginning of the story, Alex is a very timid and non social young boy. According to the text, he says the following, “What if the island has monsters that can eat us and we no longer live, and life is way too precious to lose.” This quote shows the way that little Alex thinks about the world and how much he cares about his own and other people's life. However, later in the story, his mindset changes, by not even caring about dying anymore and being this ruthless beast. The text better says this as, “With his spear gripped in his hand, he stalked the eagle and threw it killing the big beast.”
Topic Choice 1: In the story of City of The Beasts, some main characters are introduced in the very beginning of the story. First of all the main character in this story, is Andrea and she is a young girl that her mother is in a state of death. In the text it says, “Momma’s going to die” Andrea said. This quote says that she is a very shy and timid girl because of the way that she says the sentence. Another quote taken from the text says, “When’s Momma going to get better” says Andrea. She will build up to become a great climax for the story as I see her going into this island and taming animals.
Topic# 3 : Towards the middle of the story of Dido and Pa, there is the most exciting part of the story with the main plot involved. This shows an imagery of the wolves in the woods trying to hunt for the two explorers and scare them to death. One of the characters throughout the story whispers in Dido’s ear, “ Hey I hope we don’t die of fright.” This shows that the wolves they doing there jobs properly because one of their goals was to scare them away from the forest. Another plot of the story is made when they reach an unknown location of the gate in order to get to Dido’s father. They have no idea what to do, which makes a problem in the story to give it some conflict involved. A quote from the text states, “This seems to be a gate connected to a walking bridge, but Dido if we cross we might fall into the lagoon beneath us.” These are all shown examples throughout the story, and it makes the story more interesting and keep the reader curious and makes the main point of the story also known as the plot.
Dido and Pa
Topic 5: In this story, an icon that can easily be connected with this, is multiple perspectives. Dido in this story is the shy one, but also is the one who wants to find Pa in the first place. This shows her perspective on the whole how far are you willing to go aspect of things. On the other hand, you have her friend Simon, who sees this as a trick or test for Dido to test his bravery in the woods with the incoming wolves. Now this is the perspective of the friend who is more brave, but it shows how crazy people can see an idea or adventure as. To sum it up, the two perspectives are an adventurous one, and a test one. Although Dido is the main character in the story, this doesn't always mean that he has to have the correct point of view. According to the article, it states, "Well upon my word, this a task that you want to test yourself in and I believe you don't actually want to find Pa." This shows Simon's point of view on the adventure. Another page in the book states, "Well I am blessed to seek the opportunity to find by beloved father in this life and death adventure." This shows Dido's point of view, and you can tell that he is being serious while saying life and death.
Dido and Pa
Topic #1: The main character in this story is Dido, a small child. She is important in the story, because the plot of the story is to find Didos mysterious father named Pa. This character is very grim and shy at times, for example in the book it states, “Poor little dear, may this be the last day on Earth!” This quote was significant at this point in the book, because another main antagonist are the wolves that are surrounding the forest of which Dido and her friend Simon must travel. I may also mention that this is a British child, almost at some points sounding like a mouse because of his dim voice. Towards the middle of the book, Dido begins to be more confident in himself and takes bigger risks, such as at one point getting up close with a wolf. As you can see, Dido at first was scared to even scream, but in the middle of the book it states, “Simon” she called softly. “Is that you?” This was an improvement of confidence for Dido and it showed her personality, the most out of anyone in the book.
